Head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joao da Rosa is from Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Professor Joao began martial arts in Capoeira at the age of 5. Joao has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1999. He has also trained in Judo, Muay Thai, and MMA. Joao is a first degree black belt under Renato Magno, 6th degree black belt, first black belt under the Machado brothers, and owner of Street Sports BJJ in Los Angeles, CA. Beyond his passion of teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Joao competes regularly in tournaments around the country and leads the competition team at Street Sports Poulsbo. Joao believes that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone and will have a positive effect in anyone's life no matter their age, size, or athletic ability.​

Head Yoga teacher and Jiu-Jitsu purple belt Bonnie da Rosa began practicing Yoga in 1998 and Jiu-Jitsu in 2013. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Biology degree and is an anatomy specialist. She holds an E-RYT 500 hour Yoga teaching certification, awarded to teachers with over 1,000 hours of teaching experience as well as 500 hours of certified Yoga teacher training. Since her first teaching certification in 2014, she has taught full time at many distinguished Yoga studios and was selected to teach corporate Yoga at Redbull HQ in Santa Monica, CA. Her teaching and practice are rooted in a number of Yoga styles including Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga. In addition to her regular Yoga classes, she has been trained to teach kids, pre/postnatal, and baby & me Yoga. Bonnie believes that we are all innately joyful beings and through the practice of Yoga we can uncover a childlike sense of wonder in the body, mind, and spirit on and off the mat.


Yoga teacher Danielle Delong was born and raised in Kitsap, wife to a fellow yogi, and mother to three. She began practicing Bikram in 2012, and started teaching not long after. She has been teaching in Kitsap for nearly 10 years. Yoga has morphed from hobby, to therapy, to a passion, to a lifestyle. As she shares her experience with others as an instructor, she describes Yoga and mindful movement as a “necessity” in her life today. Her classes are filled with dynamic movement, challenging postures, powerful transitions, and long static holds. Be prepared to sweat and have fun in Danielle's Strong Flow (Vinyasa) classes Monday's and Wednesday's at 5:00pm.

Ashley Hagen started practicing yoga in 2010 to help improve her performance as a college athlete. In 2013, after experiencing the many benefits of a daily yoga practice, she received her first yoga teacher certificate and began teaching a wide variety of yoga classes – in local yoga studios and online. She is inspired by all movement styles including martial arts, calisthenics, running, weight lifting and dance. Her yoga classes are fun, yet challenging with focus on finding the yogi warrior within. Catch Ashley's invigorating Strong Flow Yoga (Vinyasa) class every Sunday at 10:00am.
